Changing air filters to this model is really easy and here is sort tutorial for that
Cabin air filter
What you need:
- New filter
what you dont need:
- tools
As you see this does not even require any tools, so its enough that you have new filter available when doing this.
Take a look passenger side floor, basically behind glove box.
There is three black fasteners that you can unscrew, after that cover comes out like in image.
Once cover is off you will see air filter housing. There are still plastic lock in housing that can be easily removed. Once that is taken away air filter can be pulled off from housing.
Take the new filter out from box and put that to housing. Insert plastic lock back and then the cover. That’s it.
Engine air filter change
Second easy task is change engine air filter. This will require one tool to loose band that keeps air hose in filter box.
in above image we can see filter cover in left side.
First remove air mass sensor then loose band and take air hose off and cover it so that no dirt gets there. Now you need to twist cover, but check that lock is open. Once cover is open you can just pop it out and filter comes with it.
Clean up housing as there can be plenty of dirt and leaves etc. Take the new filter and push it back to housing.
Once filter is back take the cover and twist that back in place then put air hose back and tight band. Finally insert air mass sensor clip back in place… That’s it.
