This was my first longer trip. I was driving that anyway in one day, so it means early wakeup and long day.

Here I used Google – my maps to plan the route and from satellite images I was trying to minimize tarmac section. It was quite ok and there was only one longer section with tarmac when heading back to home from Kivesvaara. (Route 22)

Initial plan was to eat something really nice in Jättiläisenmaa restaurant, but as usually plans are changing. When I get to Manamansalo, I got first sign about KTM 690 problem in longer trips. Gasoline light turned on and I was thinking that there must be some gasoline stations in Manamansalo. I was wrong as there isn’t any nearby and I needed to drive all the way to Paltamo. I filled up bike and I took some sandwich to me too. Then heading back to Kivesvaara and luckily, I took that sandwich as restaurant was closed.

Here are some photos when heading to Kivesvaara. As you can see weather was quite amazing.

There is observation deck in top of Kivesvaara.

There are also cabins and hotel with restaurant, but as mentioned that was closed while I visited there. So I took well shaked coca-cola from my bag with some cookies and eat those while checking amazing views.

Note that Kivesvaara is next to TET Finland, so it does not take much to visit there if driving TET route.

Here is video that I made from trip, but quality is what it is. I was thinking that why everyone is using GoPro as there are some alternatives with quite reasonable prices (like 40-60e), but now I know.
